How It Works

Guaranteed Satisfaction

Unlike companies that use "foggers" which only work on contact, our program lasts up to 4-6 weeks! We use a low impact, water based treatment that protects against mosquitos and ticks in the same application without harming beneficial insects like bees, ladybugs, and dragonflies. We understand that weather can be a factor in the effectiveness of the treatment so we are willing to reapply at no charge if needed.

Protecting Health

Diseases And Viruses Associated With Mosquitos And Ticks

Ticks and mosquitos are more than an annoyance, they can also cause serious health issues. The most known and common issue is Lyme disease. It is transmitted by deer ticks and can have longterm effects on people and pets. Most infections happen when the tick is in the nymph stage (when they are the size of the tip of a needle). Most people never know they have been bit and the longer the tick can feed, the more likely for infection. In some cases in Maine fifty percent of the deer tick population carried Lyme disease. Mosquitos can carry many different viruses but the two most common in Maine are West Nile virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE).  Symptoms of these viruses include headache, high fever, altered mental state, tremors, convulsions, and may cause inflammation of the brain, paralysis, coma and even death.

We've used a different mosquito and tick control company in the past, they were unreliable on when they show up and we didn't see much results. We are so happy we switched to Yard Protectors! The service and results are like night and day.

Eric S. Saco

We planned to celebrate our daughter's birthday in our back yard this year. I called and they scheduled a treatment the day before. My family and guest were able to enjoy the party without mosquitos and ticks! We where so impressed we signed up for monthly treatments and now enjoy the outdoors all season long.

I used to be constantly pulling  ticks off my kids and pets and retreating into the house at dusk from mosquitos until I called Yard Protectors! We can not believe the difference! I highly recommend them to everyone.
